From what I read, some do not recommend any treatments such as relaxer, coloring, etc. for the reason of inhaling fumes in a low ventilated area...especially within the 1st trimester. With both of my pregnancies, I did relax my hair with no problems. When I relaxed, I was near a window where I was able to circulate the air better. The decision is always up to the expectant mother. But again, I don't see a problem but of the mentioned above about proper ventilation and it has not affected me.
